The parties to the case were a bunker trader (A) and the time charterer of the vessel Saint Michel (B). On April 7 2011 A requested a quotation from B for delivery of 2,500 metric tons of bunker oil to A's customer, SMB Offshore, to be delivered to a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel anchored off the coast of Angola.
